Pastor Curtis Lee Downs
Lady Jodie M. Downs
Pastor Curtis Lee Downs is a saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled servant of the lord. Pastor Downs attended IPS graduating from Crispus Attucks H.S. Upon graduating Pastor Downs enlisted in the US Army and proudly served this great country for several years. Pastor Downs surrender his life to the Lord in April of 1992 under the leadership of the late Elder Morris M. Lee. He listened carefully and watched closely to his mother and the elder saints of the church. Pastor Downs is a scholar of the word in his own right. He closely watched his mother faithfulness and dedicated work in the church. He continues that work with the same dedication and faithfulness. Pastor Downs has worn many hats, when work is needed to be done he doesn't just wear the hat but he rolls up his sleeves as well. Pastor Downs has served as Treasurer, 1st Administrative Assistant, Sunday School Superintendent, Sound Technician, Charity District Evangelist, and whatever else his hands found to do. After relocating to Robinsonville, MS. Pastor Downs continued the work by helping to established Christian Community Mission, under the leadership of the late Pastor Ron Games. The church flourished and became a strong source in the community. Pastor Downs is supported and encouraged by his wonderful, loving wife of Thirty years, Evangelist Jodie Downs. He is a devoted and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather. Pastor Downs accepted his calling to the ministry on April 5, 2009. Introduced to the congregation on Resurrection Sunday, April 12, 2009. And in July of 2011 he was ordained as Elder Curtis Downs by Bishop Donald L. Alford Sr. On August 1, 2015, after much prayer and fasting. Bishop Donald L. Alford Sr. appointed Elder Curtis Lee Downs to Pastor, Pentecostal Mission COGIC. In 2018 The Lord led Pastor Downs in changing the name. Pentecostal Mission was then changed to Pentecostal Community Ministries. The Lord has truly given Pentecostal Mission a leader after his own heart.
Evangelist Jodie M. Downs is a saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled servant of the lord. Reared in Mississippi, she relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana and
has been faithful to God ever since he saved her. Lady Downs believes in working doing
whatever her hands find to do for the lord. Some of those things are Sunday School teacher, Bible band teacher and Vice President, Sunshine Band President, Choir President and advisor, District Purity Lady. But her love is being a prayer warrior. Lady Downs is an anointed singer, songwriter, and Evangelist. Evangelist Downs served in the Fourth
Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Indiana North Central as District Missionary of Charity
District for 14 1/2 years. She also serves as Dean of District Missionaries under Supervisor Emma R. Sanders. In August of 2022 during the State Women's Convention, Supervisor Emma Sanders. Appointed Lady Downs to the office of 2nd Admin.Asst of the Women's Department. Lady Downs has been married to Pastor Curtis Lee Downs for the past
Thirty years.7 She is a devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. Her passion is helping anyone who needs help especially young people. She makes time to talk, listen, encourage, and discipline “in Love” when necessary. She pronounced over her life in the midst of
death: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the lord.”- Psalms 118:17
She told the lord years ago. “If you put it in my mouth I’ll say it, even if I have to do
it running. “
